We celebrate and remember the story of Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem where He is received as the Redeeming King. However the mood of the coming week quickly changes as we look toward the cross. Services will happen at the regular times.
Maundy, from the Latin word meaning “command,” is a celebration of the Last Supper at which Jesus gave the command to love one another, washed the feet of his disciples, and gave us the practice of communion. Lessons & Carols has a long history at Christ Church as a time when we tell the Christmas story through scripture and song. Each congregation will celebrate on Sunday, December 14 during their regular service times.
