Practical Details for this Sunday’s Worship Changes
Overland Park
Mission
Good snowey (?!) morning, Christ Church! It was great to worship with some of you on OP’s first live Sunday morning Zoom call. In addition, many of you attended Mission’s Zoom, engaged with the weekly service video, & our traditional service at OP! Weather notwithstanding, whichever service you attended, you all made Sunday bright!
Speaking of Sunday, as we look ahead to this coming weekend, I wanted to make sure you are well-prepared for our first day back inside for contemporary worship. If you attend the 8:30am traditional service in OP, you can ignore this entire email; no changes will happen to that service.
Below are a few things to keep in mind if you are attending the contemporary service(s):
OVERLAND PARK REGISTRATION
- Due to space limitations, if you plan to attend a contemporary service in Overland Park, please MAKE SURE YOU REGISTER before Sunday morning.
FAMILIES
- Kids Ministry is resuming for ages birth – 3 years old. The Family Life team will be printing name badges in advance, so please be sure to register your kids before Sunday morning. CLICK HERE to register.
- We know that the new drop-off and registration measures may seem a tad overwhelming, but be assured that we will make instructions as clear and simple as possible.
- For families worshipping together, please be sure to make yourselves at home! We loved seeing families sitting together on blankets and whatnot while we were outside, and we don’t want to lose that just because we’re moving inside. Be encouraged to move chairs around as necessary and still bring blankets, strollers, or kid-sized chairs. We want the whole family to feel at ease and ready for worship.
SAFETY
We know there are varying comfort levels when it comes to COVID and the necessary precautions. Below is a list of safeguards we have created:
- Masks are required inside the building.
- We’ll have plenty of hand-sanitizer around for your use and all surfaces will be cleaned before and after services.
- If you have experienced any symptoms (including fever, cough, shortness of breath or any others outlined by the CDC) in the last 48 hours, or have been in close contact with a person who has symptoms or has tested positive, please stay home and enjoy our online service.
We can’t wait to worship together this Sunday!
With love in Christ,
Amanda
