Each year we invite students, beginning in 6th grade (though older students often participate at well), who were baptized as babies to engage in a fun, shaping, and strenuous process of Confirmation.
There are many aspects to the process, but they broadly fit into three categories.
- Gathering monthly to learn more about what it means to follow Christ.
- The completion of 15 interactive assignments designed to help connect them to the larger church.
- Meeting on a regularly basis (usually monthly) with a sponsor who helps disciple them to walk the path of Christ.
This significant process in a student’s faith beginning in November and runs until some time in May. At that time, students confirm their faith in a special service where our bishop is able to pray for them and bless them.
