My family and I came to Christ Church in 2022. Though we knew we had friends who went to this church, we never anticipated finding such a profound sense of home … but that’s exactly what we’ve discovered.

Born in Columbus, OH (go Buckeyes!), I was raised in Jefferson City, MO. I met my husband, Mark, in high school and, after earning a degree in Psychology from Wheaton College, we married and settled in Springfield, MO. In 2009, we moved to Kansas City and are happy to call Overland Park our home. I initially worked for a local nonprofit before heading to UMKC to pursue a Master’s in Public Administration and work in their Alumni Relations office.

My career path has always been humbling. Despite never envisioning myself as a stay-at-home parent, I spent a decade embracing that role. When my youngest started kindergarten, I anticipated taking a year to explore new opportunities, but instead, Christ Church found me. It seems the Lord has always known what I need even better than I do. I’m grateful to be a part of the Spiritual Formation team and help bridge the gap between Sunday morning and the rest of the week.

In my free time, I enjoy volunteering, reading, building Lego sets, and playing retro video games. I am always willing to geek out over Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Star Wars.
